I'm probably barking up the wrong tree but this week I started on Readigrass instead of another brand.

Anyway their wee has been terrible - it stinks!

Could it be the readigrass (they did eat alot of it)? Only other thing different is no greens but we have done that before.

That's okay I thought it was the wrong tree....

No idea what's caused it though. Its in the one big cage - not noticed it in the other cage but there are only 3 in there....

Hey just thought is the redigrass on newspaper or where they can wee on it?
Only when I put it in Rogers litter tray on the newspaper and he wee'd on it it did smell.

Yes it is - okay could be that.

Thanks hun!

Try putting it in a dish, when I stopped putting it where he could pee on it the smell stopped, just a thought hun.

When they are eating a lot of dry grass they need to drink lots more or the wee becomes too concentrated which makes the smell more noticable .Mine love redigrass but they drink 4 large bottles of water a day . Mind you there are a lot of them. Just a thought.

I found that just newspaper/hay and wee do not mix. I have gone back to putting a layer of wood chippings in my toilet corners, so they can still sit and sleep on the hay layer on top, but it doesn't smell up as quickly. Even then, I change regularly.
