Does Sebastian Need A Friend

Hi everyone, I'm a new guinea pig owner

I recently got my Abyssinian guinea pig named Sebastian (male) as the previous owner didn't have time for her pigs anymore.
Sebastian used to be an outdoor guinea pig and lived with another pig however the previous owner said they didn't get on so they lived in separate hutches. (She also said they used to talk to each other even though they were in separate hutches) I didn't have the room for both of them to live in separate hutches at my house, so I only got the one pig.

After 1 and a half months of living with us Sebastian is still very skittish but he enjoys to be with a person, he enjoys the company. When he comes out to play he just sits by our legs or in between our feet and he doesn't squeak (I know not all guinea pigs squeak)..
So today I had the idea that maybe he needs a friend/wife to keep him company in his hutch, but am I risking it by putting another pig in with him because he might not get on with them.

The best and easiest thing to do would be to contact a rescue and see if they have any single boys, and assuming they do, then take Sebastian along so he can choose his own friend. Or if you want to, you could get him neutered and find him a wife in the same way.
I had two guins that fell out and had to live alone for a while while I decided what to do (I ended up getting them neutered). When they moved in with their wives they were so much happier and way more confident than they had ever been by themselves.

Thank you so much! I think he is already neutered so maybe a wife would be perfect for him
