To add to my thread yesterday about guinea pigs coming when you call their names, I should have mentioned this too.
Whenever my Jojo is out of the cage only, I just put out both of my palms flat in front of him and he will climb right up to them.
He actually started doing this on his own, I discovered it one day when I was playing around with him, I put out my hands and he hopped right up.
I don't know why he does it, I never offered him a treat to do so or anything that stimulated this trick.
To make him learn his name I would always offer treats and be talking to him gently using his name and he picked up on that, and I would offer treats to make him come running up to my chest.
This one, he just learned on his own, I think it is pretty cool, I don't even have to bother him when he doesn't want to be picked up, I just put out my hands.
Only works out of the cage though, inside the cage he just feels like staying home I guess lol.
Does anyone else piggie do this too? What is the motivation behind it?
I think he just wants me to hold him, because, as I said I never offered him treats or anything to do this, he just picked it up on his own.
He definitely isn't a shy pig though, so that plays a huge role in his personalty of being adventurous.

He actually tried tricking me one day to put him back in the cage!
When I first got him I would let him chill on my chest, and every time he would have to eat his little sac thing, I would pick him up and put him back in his cage when I knew he was about to do it.
I stopped putting him back once I realized he just eats those and if he needs to poop or pee, he will bite on my shirt.
So, about a month and a half ago he was on my chest and he got into stance to eat the sac, he looked at me for like 3 seconds, I didn't put him back.
While I was watching what he was doing, he than reached under, grabbed NOTHING and started to chew! LOL, HE ACTUALLY TRIED TO TRICK ME TO PUT HIM BACK IN THE CAGE, if you can believe it hahahah. He's a pretty clever pig.

I posted two videos with him coming up into my hands, both in a row, he does it every time. Such a cute pig. lol :<>

That's lovely...

My Coconut, Cinnamon, Phantom and Pancake do that as well, I taught them to put their paws on my hands (and/ or climb into my hands) if they want to go back to their cages when I ask them "Back?" ... like if thy need a wee or something. If I don't ask, they come up to me and put their paws up on my legs to get my attention so then I can ask them if they want to go back lol!

The other 7 pigs I have yet to teach the Back command to. Been trying to teach Baby and Biscuit recently but they don't seem to care and like peeing on OH lol

Yeah, my other pig Momo doesn't like doing anything at all but getting attention Lol.
He is happy just relaxing and sleeping on my belly, he's a lazy little guy though but very active and fast when he wants to be.
Momo actually pop corns a lot more then Jojo as well, he actually pop corned straight into a wall one day lol.

Bless, that looks so cool.

Yes, again with Biscuit, if I put my hands out and call his name he'll climb on there straight away. He knows that either A) it's time for a chill on the sofa and maybe a treat or B) it's time for an inspection and maybe a treat.

Incidnetally, if it's time to see the vet (and Biscuit has had a lot of those times) all I have to is hold the open carry box by the edge of his cage and he'll climb in too :)
