So.. I was perusing Amazon for a new litter tray/hay tray for the piggies as we're thinking of expanding the cage and I found the below...
Sure, it's a dog bed, but it says 70cm, right?

It arrived today and it appears that the internal is 70cm across, with the lip it's about 75cm >.<

I should have went with a smaller one but I wanted it to sit nicely across a 2 grid width end of the cage...
I'm now stubbornly thinking of how I can incorporate it, so I don't have to send it back.
I was thinking of setting up grids around it, kind of at an angle, but it leaves gaps at the bottom/sides which new piggies might squeeze by.

The only way I could use it is to set it up across the back, rather than the side.
Any other ideas for how I could incorporate it? lol:doh:

Is your C&C cage sitting on the floor? If so you could still use it sideways. Leave the two grids attached to side so the gap is in the middle. And then use another grid across the gap. Does that make sense?

Or is it possible to saw a bit of it off? I'm usually quite drastic and my solutions either involve sawing stuff or using a lot of duct tape to fix things.

I can't picture what you mean, sorry.
It's quite hard plastic but possibly could saw it or sand it down. Would worry about sharp edges though.

It might cause a few problems with your correx or whatever you use as the base but I think it should be workable. (Trusty duct tape, haha).

I didn't explain it very well did I?! :D

I have a small one of those beds, but I have not put it in the cage yet. I'm waiting for the loft to arrive so I might put it up there.
