yes. I'm pretty sure they can. it can also spread to cats and some other animals, but please be careful! it would be very bad if your pig got the flu or kennel cough
Guinea pigs can contract kennel cough (bordetellosis) from dogs, which is fatal for rodents. Please keep your dogs and guinea pigs in different rooms that the dogs cannot get in and use good hygiene before and after you deal with either species. It’s not kennel cough, where I live the dog flu hit my area (it’s been on the news as of recently) and it didn’t dawn on me to check if dogs and pigs can catch the same strain of this illness.
They haven’t been separated but I’ll do that ASAP!
