Hi

I got another guinea pig on Sunday. He's single and separate from the other two boys. He's dominant towards other boars and fell out with a boar several months ago and been alone since.

He's very nervous of people and any noise. I've got him out for exercise for the first time and he's hiding in the corner. I'm sitting on the floor with him to gain his trust. I offered him a treat, and he teeth chattered at me, and then did hip swaying. I've seen the other boys do this in dominance towards each other, but they've never done it toward me. What does it mean?

One of ours chatters his teeth at us, he thinks he's a big boy lol. Supposedly it's when they aren't happy with you. That's what I read anyway. Maybe when he gets used to you he'll stop doing it.
