I have two 4 year old girls and Yin has always been the dominant one over Yang in a healthy way and never aggressive just the general rumbling and being vocal, never lasting long, however recently Yang has started being more aggressive towards Yin and it is constant! I’m having trouble listening to it all the time as they live in my bedroom and i feel really bad for Yin, i have tried separating them for long periods of time but as soon as they’re back together its constant rumbling and Yin is very loud and vocal but Yang just doesn’t leave her alone and i’m not really sure why, i don’t have the space to buy and extra cage big enough to keep them separate, they have always been happy, well looked after, well fed with plenty of love and cuddles. Not really sure what to do any advice would be great:)

Hi and welcome

Please have Yang vet checked for ovarian cysts. This behaviour is very typical for them and it also coincides with the classic age band for when hormonal cysts are most active (2-4 years).

You may want to take the time to read this link here. I hope that you will find the information helpful to give you a better idea as to what you are dealing with: Sow Problems 'Down Below' (Ovarian Cysts, Super-seasons, Womb Infection, Pregnancy & Mammary Tumours)

Wishing you all the best.
