Hi, was just wondering if there is anything I can do to calm a piggie down.. I have 4 males. 2 cages and Fred, is the dominate pig out of two and he will not stop mounting Barney. I know it's a dominance thing but it's literally every 5 minutes. He just won't stop.. Fred is very nervous pig.. it's hard to hold him even for a minute without him wanting to just jump off. But anyway just wanted to see if they was any tips to help calm him a little bit if there is any?

Thanks.

Hi! How long have the two been together and what age are they?

If you have just bonded: Bonding: Illustrated Dominance Behaviours And Dynamics
If they are in the midst of their teenage months (typically 4-8 months): Boars: Teenage, Bullying, Fighting, Fall-outs And What Next?

You may want to consider a temporary or permanent separation as incessant mounting counts as bullying. You can find information on that in our teenage guide. If the boars are different sizes and ages and just bonded, then the tips in bonding guides (chapter about boars) will be more helpful.
