Hi i have 2 male piggies they are nearly 5 months old Pumpkin appears to be chasing Basil around the cage especially at feeding times or when he comes out of his hide, they had the same hide but we separated them into 2 different hides hoping that might help, any other ideas I don't want to have to separate them from each other.

I have 3 boars who are all four months old and each a week apart sometimes they chase each either around but usually they’re fine and they always settle down as long as there is not an any blood you’re probably fine may just want to keep an eye on them

Pumpkin makes a very low throbbing noise every time he sees Basil as well wondered what it meant if anything, probably I am worrying over nothing.

Anger signs are teeth clattering and showing teeth, mounting is a form of displaying dominance so is the rumble strut

He's rumblestrutting. If you watch, he's probably moving his hips slowly from side to side too. It's a mild dominance behaviour that boys in particular are very partial to doing. They also do it to show lady piggies how manly they are. My piggy room sometimes sounds like a motorbike rally with my 5 boys lol.

Hi! Your boys are now the age when the testosterone output is at an alltime high.
You may find this very detailed guide here helpful; it also contains information on the various stages of the teenage months as well as tips on how you can stabilise the bond as much as possible in the first chapters.
