While using the Johnsons anti-mite spray in the hutch earlier I have realised I left the lid off the plastic dustbin that houses their food and other bits. The dustbin stands next to the hutch. The top of the food bag was open a bit. Some spray that was wafting in the air has probably settled on everything.

Shall I chuck the top half of the bag of food out? Or just remove what's on the top? Or buy a new bag? Don't mind the money, it's the time factor today, don't want to kill the guineas off though (obviously) . . .

Help!

I really think it sh0uld be 0k, if your w0rried take the t0p layer 0ff but s0me pr0bably slightly remains arund the hutch etc anyway and in the air s0 i w0uld think it t0 be fine :)

In this situation I would replace the whole bag just for piece of mind. However, this is what I would do. O0

I threw about a third of the bag (it was a newly opened bag) away, am sure it couldn't have permeated down that far! All guineas present and correct still! Thanks for the replies x

Thats what I would do too :) its not worth the risk

It could soak through the spray, I think it's best you replace it O0 Better to buy a new bag than you being worried O0 Like they say, better safe than sorry O0

I am sure they/ it will be fine, the only reason I would throw the whole bag away is for piece of mind because I am such a worrier. O0
