ches and maisie were out in their run and when i looked some of the wee puddles had some blood in it, and one was all red.

i don't know who it is as both seem fine, can't see any on them when i checked.

will have to try and find out. it's all happening lately. :(

Oh no, really sorry to read this... Hope you find out who it is and they get better soon x

Oh no! Sorry to hear this. It has happened before to Ches hasn't it? And he recovered, so fingers crossed it will be the same this time around. Poor piggles.

i weighed them both and both have kept a stable weight. they've been out in their run today and both were acting normally, running and popcorning.

i've seen them both wee and both have clear urine. :{

they both seem fine. i cleaned their cage aswell and there was no 'blood' there either. :{

i'm hoping it's one of those one off random things. but i will be weighing them both daily for a while and checking for blood everyday. but for now i have no idea what happened. :{

no 'blood' today either, both fine, weights fine. looking like it was one of those random things thank goodness.

they've both gained weight today and seem fine so i'm pretty sure now that it was just a random one off thing. thanks everyone. :(|)

Hello, Clive was at the vets again yesterday as we thought he may have blood in his wee. Sergio gave us a clean syringe and a small tube and said if we can syringe up a sample, then put it in the tube and spin it really fast, the blood will seperate from the urine. If it's not blood it will stay red. I've never heard that before and thought it was good a tip for concerned piggy owners. (We can do as it as they have floor time on a wooden floor so it all puddles inbreeding) Hope Ches and Maisie are all good x

I have found that if piggies/buns have over indulged on dandelions their urine can take on a slightly red appearance. The first time it happened to a visiting bun I nearly died, but her owner was a vet and said they see it quite often. I have never been so relieved!

I hope your pair are still doing ok.

i am so glad you have said this because the only new thing i was feeding them was dandelions from the garden! massive ones aswell. maybe that's what happened.
