Don't Get Guinea Pigs Mum, They're Naff

That's what my son said to my a year ago. He has totally fallen in love with them. Its so funny watching my 6ft 2 son climb in the piggys run, even funnyer watching he try and climb back out of it. Hes sat in there feeding them veg and playing happy guinea pig noises to them from his phone. He say he likes them because they are calming, you can just chill out with them mum.

My daughter wanted pigs for her 12th birthday 4 1/2 years ago - I said no way! as they reminded me of old ladies with whiskery chins - 4 1/2 years later and we now have 7!

We have had pigs for nearly 5 years now. My elder son is nearly 15 and has anger and emotional issues. He really loves the piggies and they are a great source of comfort for him. He always has one along side him , whether watching tv, minecrafting and the occasional homework!

Bless him. My son spends a lot of time with ours. But I have noticed that lately, while he's been doing he's A level exams that he's spending even more time just sitting with them on the floor. As he says I'm chilling with the guinea pigs

I must admit, I find mine soothing. They're brilliant to calm me down if I've dealt with a horrific fatal car crash at work. I just lock myself in my animal shed for an hour or 2 and brush my pigs and buns. It helps me to come round.
