Hi all

On Friday i started a post about Izzy (my 4 year old sow) squeaking loads. sounded like a good happy squeak and eating was all fine etc.

since yesterday, izzy has been so out of sorts, really miserable, wanting to curl up, nudging pancake and generally not herself. she is still the same this morning when i got up so i have booked a vet appointment for tonight at 6pm (can't get out of work any earlier) but i am just sick with worry

any advice? x

I am sorry to hear she seems unwell. All you can do is wait to have her checked out at the vet. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks Piggyfan - i am at work and cannot concentrate!
its been snowing here so now i am worried the house will get too cold!
mind is in overdrive!

can piggies have down days - i am hoping maybe thats what it is!

I have no advice to offer but I hope that it is nothing serious and that izzy gets back to her normal squeaky self soon.

Hi all

Sadly we had to have izzy put to sleep at 7pm this evening.
Took her to the vet who had a good feel and discovered she was very constipated and although without a scan we couldn't be sure what was wrong, the vet felt to masses of tissue that may have been a problem with her spleen.

Xx

I am so very sorry for your loss. :( If you wish to talk then feel free to pm me.

I'm so sorry you lost Izzy :( Awful how they can go down hill so quickly, but I think you did the right thing. :rose
