I did half the journey from Exeter to Northampton for a little piggley called Cornfłake! I wonder if that's the furthest? ?/

Having seen the amazing things Debbie and Simon do, I'd say that this really is Tiffy's best chance.

Blimey! I think its certainly a contender haha.

I've just spoken to one of the receptionists there to find out about appointment costs and things and they're SO reasonable. I was expecting the costs to be much higher for an initial and follow up consultations, especially as it would be to speak with someone who actually knows about exotics! They're actually less expensive than my usual vets. It's pretty well the cost of 1 consultation with me for 2 follow ups at the Cat and Rabbit Clinic, besides that, the expertise is priceless!

I'm speaking to the mother (luckily equally happy to travel far and wide for this kind of thing!) later on about it. When I said I was hoping to come from afar the receptionist said about Debbie boarding for piggies to visit and that she was very good :)

And... Thank you Guinea Pigs <3 :) means a lot!

It's cheaper for me to pay the consultation fee and fuel for the journey to get to see Simon, than it is for me to see the vet half a mile up the road!

That's crazy, and the knowledge that he's so good with them too is really pushing me to take her up there!

I'll let you know if the mother agrees! :)

A forum piggy went all the way from Aberdeen down to see Simon & Debbie, it really is worth the distance.

Just a bit more ammo for your mum in case she needs it lol x

I've a piggie here currently from Worcester. She arrived last Saturday morning and was seen by Simon. She was very poorly, not eating and had had dental work by her previous vet. This appeared to have done more harm than good to the teeth and it is doubtful that she ever had a dental issue in the first place, but that one had now been caused. She was also suffering very badly with bloat. With correct medications and 24 hour supportive care (I barely slept for two nights as I was up syringe feeding her little and often throughout the night) she began to make progress and tonight she is looking really well, eating for herself and will have a check up from Simon on Friday night. I don't think it will be very long before this young lady is heading back home to Worcester.
