On friday Clover had some old lady back leg aches and pains and I phoned the vet and they said we could bring her in immediately, but piggy daddy had just set off to the hospital with an elderly hooman so I had to say it would wait until after the weekend and we'd give her some metacam... been stressing and fussing and feeling guilty and serving Clover breakfast in bed in case her legs are stiff... just finished writing the essay to tape to her vet carrier tomorrow, "Clover is quite old" I said, "limited joint mobility in her left leg due to an old injury" I said, "right leg now also causing discomfort" I said, "uncomfortable standing" I said...
Came downstairs to see...

My poor old girl standing up on those poor painful back legs I just wrote a heart wrenching essay about and lost 2 nights sleep over, just to dominate Piggle in a hay tray! Bloody pigs! Seems the metacam is helping anyway, hopefully the vet will say long term metacam now, or they might say she's fine because clearly the leg pain comes and goes depending on the day...!
Good to see an old lady perking up after 3 days of metacam though isnt it :)

Yes and luckily Clover will guzzle metacam from a syringe just held near her face, no need to catch her and take her out which she hates! Though getting the metacam into just the correct piggy can be difficult with a greedy herd of six, they all want a bit!

I know that feeling. Getting Metacam into Meg with two other piggies wanting it is a big challenge especially as only half of Meg's face actually works!
