I was playing with Boris when I noticed he had a little tiny spot on his back it didnt hurt when i touched it its kinda hard and red. We're going vets Tuesday for a nail clipping so ill mention it too him but does anyone have any ideas? x
It sounds as though Boris has a cyst. They frequently reoccur in some cavies, but are easily manageable. If the cyst ruptures, it can be squeezed out and bathed with a mild saline solution. Your veterinary surgeon should be able to talk you through it. If it begins irritating Boris, you vet may consider removing the cyst. However, it would likely reoccur if removed. It isn't something to be overly concerned about. However, Boris will need to see your vet.
I agree that it's worth mentioning to the vet but is not a matter of great concern at the moment, it does sound like it could be a cyst - a common "lump" found on guineas.
