Dont want my girl to ever die

I am so attached to her. Vet can see it, to the point he told me like I'm an idiot "pets do die, you know? And shes old."

Shes nearly 6. She has become my life even more so after a huge health scare where i thought it was the end.

I dont want her to ever die. Crying again..

No i literally dont. I feel like ill move overseas when she passes to help the grief.

I am sure many of us feel the same we know it has to happen but we don't want it to that's for sure.
Vets can sometimes be quite practical and don't realise how they come across.
I am sure you already do but make memories each day with her with some enrichment for her and try not to let the worry ruin yours or your girls time together.

Aw it’s hard as like with family and friends, it’s hard when our beloved pets get older and we have to accept that they will not be around forever Many of us have been in the same situation. Some vets are very blunt and I’m sorry the vet upset you.

Make lots of special memories with your girl everyday and when the sad time does come when she does pass, you’ll have lots of memories to cherish forever and know that you have given her a wonderful long life.

But for now, enjoy her and hopefully you’ve got lots of time together yet (((hugs))) x
