Hello
Unfortunately I can't take my guinea to the vet for her mites at the moment to get advice. But I do have kitten/puppy revolution. I will have to treat my other guinea too. They are females 1010 grams and 1005 grams in weight. Both adults. Can anyone direct me to somewhere that could tell me the required dose and frequency? Thanks so much

Sorry to say this but I doubt that will work, it's for fleas and it could be harmful to piggies? I wouldn't risk it personally.

It's best not to treat mites on spec as shop bought treatments often don't work and end up being a waste of money or irritating to piggies.

I'm not sure what your best option would be but hopefully @sport_billy might be able to help?

Please don't use drugs designed for other animals on piggies.

You really need to get to the vet for some treatment such as xeno 450, which is ivermectin

This medication is called stronghold in the UK,it can be used for the treatment of mites, but must be used in strict guidance with a vet.it is a vet only prescription.i would strongly advise you go to your vet for the correct diagnosis, and treatment.goodluck.:)

I have been prescribed it before by a guinea pig specialist and used it. I'm in Australia so maybe overseas haven't heard of it? I contacted another vet the other day to ask the cost of taking in my pets, she said she could sell me the kitten revolution seperatly, but I Bought some myself as i couldn't afford it the other way

When I contacted the vet she said they need 0.02ml each. Vets here don't know about guineas so I'm not sure. And don't they need at least a second dose as it doesn't kill the eggs? I'm not good with messurements, if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. I came across these dosages, but it's going over my head... Guinea Lynx :: Antiparasitics

As has been pointed out in the pinned posts we can’t give advice on dosage - only a vet can, so @Amba if you doubt the vets please contact another. Really sorry but we just can’t help you on this point.
