I've never used this probiotic before but ordered it to keep in my first aid kit due to the low calcium content. I now have to use it as Truffle's poops are a little bit softer than normal (he is currently on meds & has ongoing bladder/dental issues).
I was just wondering if anyone knows the dose. It says on the tub one scoop per 100mls for 'stressed' piggies which I've made up but how much/how often should I give it.
I don't want to put it in his water in case it puts him off drinking :(
Any help would be appreciated - thanks guys xx

I give a small pinch per pig per day, usually added to the syringe feed, or sprinkled on the dry food if they are eating ok.

Suzy x

Thanks Suzy, I just gave him 10mls of the solution I made by syringe - he liked it rolleyes

I used avipro plus when one of my girls had a respiritory infection, I think it said 1 pinch per kg of guinea pig took me a while to find it. So i just sprinkled a pinch of it on to a bit of pepper and she had it no trouble at all.

I have used it before in water and all my piggies did not mind it at all. The powder sticks well to a slice of cucumber, if your piggle likes it. ;)
