Thanks, lets just hope i make it, i tried for saturday, but fully booked, and then simon isnt about apparently, until next sat. I think the receptionist might think i was only asking about saturday hmmm. Dont know
Simon is in work all next week

Have just sat and watched Dot in the quiet by herself, and its definitly something to do with her pooing, its like a liquidy sounding gurgle( like dunking a cup upside down in water) but quieter, then a crackly bum, she seems to be eating every poo lately, i managed to give a load of pro c to her, but couldnt work out whos poo was whos, so il be doing her poo soup tomorrow after work

I would suggest that she has some sort of digestive issue going on either a side effect of the IC (which I personally doubt) or something unrelated. I suggest a vet visit to rule it out

Yeah I'd take them both, a bit of piggy support always help to chill them out a bit after nasty humans prodding and poking them!
Hope all goes well x

Dot loves Simon, she goes all good girl mode, I'm just thinking it might shake Bernie up, and they dont get along in tight spaces much, its just that il be on my own, so if I'm driving and they play up, il be in a mess lol

I've found it's good just because then if the other piggy needs a vet trip they're a bit more 'used' to it. And don't get overly sniffed when they return with all the strange smells!
But obviously I go to Cat and Rabbit on the train so that's a bit different to a quick trip in the car!

And yeah Rupert loves Simon, chins and Jess not too keen! (Well Poppy liked him a bit more after a while but first trip involved lots of pee spraying straight at him and his white top!)

Yea thats really true. Thanks. I only live 10 minutes from the vet,( now they have moved) so should be ok

Haha good old ladies! Think Pop shocked him cuz female chins stand on their back legs and fire it at speed! Prob not used to that as much as piggies and their special way! I was rather embarrassed!

Please have Dot vet checked and then you are able to treat the cause of any problems properly. Don't fudge around at home.

He's got an appt later for Dot now to get her checked :) @Wiebke
Just deciding if taking Bernie for company!

Thanks, I hadn't seen that part.

Whenever possible please always take a 'paw holding' companion. I do it even for operations unless the outcome is very uncertain or I am taking a piggy for pts/euthanasia. it is much less stressful for the piggies.
Tips For Vet Visits

I agree @Wiebke. I always like to but did debate it with my Rupert when he had his strange accident a couple of weeks ago (no issues since bless him!) as thought I'd lose him and Jess his cagemate is such a an emotional girly.

For the first year with Poppy the chin having dentals I didn't take Pedro very often, with them being pretty much nocturnal compared to pigs (well crepuscular but the other way I've found!). When I started taking him 'full-time' both Kim and Simon at Cat and Rabbit said she was so much more relaxed. Even just in a carrier in the same room!

Thank you. She's been on antibiotics for 8 weeks and been fine but now she's having a flare now she's off them :( The antibiotics was because she had a slight infection but thats gone now. I hate IC :(
Sounds bloody frustrating! Poor little lady. When Rupert had his issues with stones and UTI's on and off he was so miserable.
Can't imagine what it's like to put up with it all the time when you're doing all you can! She's definitely a little fighter x

I'm getting ready to go soon, i dont know what the parking is like , and I'm in a very long van lol. So I'm leaving early. Thanks for the messages 👍

Ive just come down sick myself from antibiotic side effects😣.
