Noticed for the last two days dot hasnt been eating much hay.

She gobbles all her veg , and loves fresh grass but i have 5 different types of hay or grass
Friendly reasigrass
Friendly oat grass
Alfalfa king timothy
B and m timothy
And a nice green meadow hay.

Shes just had a health check . Teeth were checked too. She has gone off of selective grain free nuggets but now decided shes loves burgess again.
She must be one fussy guinea pig or I'm missing something

I think shes getting her own way too much. She has me wrapped around her little claw. Il take the nuggets out. Can this be why shes not eating hay?

She could be eating too much other food but hay is often the first thing they go off when ill. I'd go to weighing her daily and keep a close eye on her (I know you do anyway) just in case this is the start of an illness or the vet missed something.

There is a cystitis thing going on with her, she goes up and down in wellness . But nothing ever life threatening. Il try some cystease again. It helped last time. Her weight dropped to 930g yesterday and now its 990g again

Not eating hay was the first sign I noticed in both my bladder piggies, she could be feeling sore.

I think its going to be one of those long ilnesses where she goes up and down. She seems to go really perky for a couple of weeks. Then a couple of weeks off. I noticed when i was giving cystease she went perky. But this could have just been the timing.

I'm going to start her cystease again tonight and pain killer.

I'm in a very bad mood because i worry. But things could be worse. Just gave her a stack of picked grass and shes loving that. Until the council mow the grass next week

Thanks for everyones comments.. any ideas for dot just give me a message on this thread..Thanks, it helps to share a problem on here, no one else around me understands. They dont understand shes a grazing animal unlike a cat or dog.
