We have a double decker cage. Our piggies have never used the wooden walkway to get to the top level.

I have pulled a sock around the walkway to try and make it better for them.

Hasn't worked.:laluot_08:

Any help please -c

Do you have any tunnels? Tunnels work wonders to get piggies up ladders. I find mine will use theirs with just fleece on it, but they do have a tunnel up it now and enjoy running up and down it. It's worth a try :)

yep, once I made the ramp a tunnel, by draping fleece over it with some supports, they were up in within 5 minutes.

Off topic, but strawberries - that is a fantastic avatar picture you have!

Many moons ago when I still used my double ferplast cage I stuck a carpet tile cut to size with strong velcro to my ramp to make it less slippy. I still use the ramp just not the cage.

I also find raising the ramp a little bit helps so that it's not so steep. I generally use one of the bendy log rolls/tunnels placed underneath the end of the ramp.

How long have they had the ramp? Could take time before they try it if they're not used to it. I have had my rescue piggies for about a month now and it took 2 weeks until one of them gave it a go. I always give them their salad on the top level so it encouraged them up it, now they both zoom up and down all day! I have a hidey, a bowl of nuggets and a water bottle (as well as 'toys', hay etc etc) on each level so when they were first exposed to the ramp, whichever level they were on, they had all they needed in case they didn't feel brave enough to attempt it again once up/down :)
