I am new to piggie keeping, and am moving my boar and his baby brother outside now the weather is better. I am planning on getting a double decker hutch, and found a few that I liked yesterday online. My question is, am I best to get one that has a ramp to a run underneath that sits on the grass, or one where the ramp leads down to a second wooden compartment (and get a separate run to put them onto the grass when the weather is good?). A basic question I know, but I don't know if they are better having the extra wooden compartment space, or to have free access to grass whatever the weather in Spring/Summer.
