Hi Everyone,
I have never used this site, but i hope it will give me some answers. My daughter was playing with her Guinea Pig yesterday and he fell from a trampoline onto grass. A bit of gooey stuff come out of him and he is now dragging his back legs. He doesn't seem to be in any pain though. Has anyone got any ideas as to what he might have done to himself? My daughter is really upset and worried:...

Welcome to the forum sweetheart, and I am so sorry to hear that your piggie is injured.
Perhaps he could have broken something? Is it just one or both legs? Is he still eating/drinking/pooping OK?
I strongly recommend that you get him to a vet as soon as you can - whereabouts are you situated? The forum can generally recommend a cavy savvy vet if we know where you are.

I can only repeated the above really, your piggy needs to see a vet urgently. If you don't have a vet or you would like a new one to be recommend please let us know where abouts you are.

Please don't wait and see how he gets on, he needs medical help, the sooner has has the right treatment the sooner he will be on the mend.

How worrying - I hope your little one has seen a vet he may seem like he's not in pain but that's because guinea pigs are prey animals so they hide illness and pain extremely well to avoid alerting member's in there pack.

Please make sure he's not unsupervised with your daughter again, children don't mean any harm and sometimes don't realises what accidents can happen. Your daughter's learnt a hard lesson I hope the piggy is ok, poor little guy.

sounds like he may of broken his back or serverly damaged his spine, vet asap please
