Last night I had a dream that I somehow acquired massive numbers of guinea pigs. I had two huge wired pens that had tons of guinea pigs dashing around. My kids and I were trying to name them all and ran out of names, at that point even I realized that I had too many guinea pigs and had to rehome some. I was going around trying to choose which to rehome but they were all so cute I couldn't make up my mind. Tomie was the queen guinea pig of one of the big pens, she was going around putting everyone in their place. I just thought it was such a 'me' dream to have! LOL!

From time to time I dream I will be somewhere random and there will be some escaped guinea pigs and I have to round them up and get them somewhere safe. I can never get them all at once so have to back for the remainders. Trouble is each time I go back there are more and more.
@Freela maybe all the piggies in your dream were the ones I saved? 🤣

I once dreamt that I woke up to some surprise babies in the girls’ downstairs apartment. About 3 of them! Then another time I dreamt I’d gone to sort out the piggies only to find about 4-5 mini Fudge lookalikes running around 😱

Am I the only one who gets nightmares about neglecting pigs I don't even have? Because I got those a lot between saying goodbye to Comet & Blitzen, and the arrival of the Goblins.

I have a recurring dream that I open the front door and find a box on the step with guinea pigs in. When I pick it up the box breaks and they run away. I go to catch them and there seem to be more and more piggies running up and down the road. Loads of the neighbours come out to help catch them. I wake up around then feeling upset.
Since last years illnesses and losses I've dreamt every night about the piggies, they are ill or missing and I'm looking for them. Or someone's broken into the house and killed them and are after me. Sometimes someone comes to the house and takes them away because I'm a bad owner and not looking after them properly.
After the horrible time we had last year it's not surprising I get these dreams but I wish they would stop.

I used to get those dreams. I would dream I was back in my childhood home and realise I hadn't fed the pigs for years and go out to see them, terrified of what I would find but wake up at that point. Those nightmares stopped when I started keeping pigs again as an adult.

The pain of your losses will ease and those dreams will stop. You are a fantastic piggy owner and no-one is going to take your piggies away or harm them xx

I don't know for definite but I don't remember having one since the Goblins arrived, maybe one or two very early on, but that's it. I dunno if any of you have read The Stand (Stephen King) but part of it stems from a passage in the book where Lloyd thinks about his pet rabbit, at least I think that's part of it anyway.

Thank you. Last year is obviously worrying me subconsciously. I and a fantastic vet team who were guiding me and we did absolutely all we could. I do take comfort from knowing that they had the very best care. I'm not consciously sitting here wringing my hands worrying I did something wrong or I didn't do enough. Of course I miss Rusty, Caspy and Nugget, they were a huge part of my life, I will never forget them.
