Dried Forage/ Herbs

Hi, new piggy person here. I've seen the 80/10/10 recommendation with regards to hay, fresh veg, and nuggets. I just wanted to check if dried non-cereal forage goes into the hay section or not? Thinking of things like dried grass (e.g. Readigrass), "bunny herbs", and other dried safe leaves.

Of course I would still feed hay as the majority of that section, it just doesn't seem to really fit elsewhere!

Good question. Personally I'd put it into the hay section as I'd class freshly picked forahe as veg/greens.

Thanks! I buy dried herb mixes from PAH a lot for enrichment. And I do a lot of foraging of safe plants, but I dry them out as it's better for gerbils that way (in terms of big tanks making removal of uneaten fresh impossible). I suppose if I'm really organised I could keep some back occasionally to give to piggies as fresh food.

Totally get why you wouldn't want fresh in the gerbil tanks, but piggies will definitely appreciate some fresh forage every now and then!
