I bought a bag of this in the pet shop as there is no chance for the piggies to go out and nibble the lawn. They absolutely love it, I'm using it every few days as an alternative to hay. Anyone else tried it?

Hi i have. My pigs liked it but i think they liked their normal hay as much so i haven't brought any more.

All of mine love it, they have a bowl a day and still eat lots of hay.
I buy it by the bale, the small bag doesn't last a week!

Mine love excel forage, I take it that's the same as dried grass 98)

I havent had a piggy yet that doesnt like readi grass
Liz I pay £6.50 for a big bale of it and it lasts ages

I brought some more today at the farm my piggies love it :) I had to buy a couple of small bags as there were no bales left. They had also ran out of megazorb and didn't have any auboiuse in stock eighter. I ended up ordering it so I can collect it next week. Our van will be full next week as I will be getting a bale of hay, bale of readigrass and two sacks of megazorb.

Anyone know where I can get this in south yorkshire? Can't find it anywhere :-\
Ask at any horse feed shop and they should either stock it or will be able to get it in

Readi grass is by Spillers so if they sell Spillers horse feed they should stock the grass

Jane i get mine at a pet shop called Jollyes at West Denton newcastle search for it on web and there might be a one near you?

me and wanda went half on a bale at end of oct but I'm running out now have to fill it up for my piggies at least once a day!

I swear by Just grass, all our bunnies and pigs go nuts for it :)

I buy mine some green oats from time to time, they love it, like it better than hay! O0

dont know if that falls into the category of dried grass though...

Mine like green oat grass, I grow it for them in the summer- definitely not in the dried grass category :)

Dried grass is very spiky, just wondering how everyone feeds theirs eg in bowls or loose? My big groups often have a pile and its gone in no time but where its just a pair I give them a bowl.

My lot love dried grass, sometimes i put it in their veggie bowls once they are empty, sometimes it goes in one of those metal balls that hang from the cage, sometimes its just in a big pile on the floor and sometimes i stuff it in egg boxes, tissue boxes, paper bags etc. I would say that they love it in boxes the best.

I chuck a big pile in for them. I am going through about a bale a week at the moment :o

What is Supa Excel Forage? It looks like very green hay. My pigs go nuts for it. Is it hay, or dried grass, or somehting else? 98) Or am I just asking a stupid question?
