Hi

Can you feed guinea pigs dried locust beans? I remember my sisters hamsters used to go mad for them when I was a kid but I'm not sure we ever used to give them to our piggies

you can get these in pet shops sold for piggies- but beware as one of ours got a bit stuck over his bottom teeth , and i had to pull it off.

My old boar used to go barmy for them, he used to roll a treat ball all day full of them LOL. Harold likes them too but has not yet worked out the treat ball LOL x

yes my girlies love them! I bought a huge bag (about 1kg for £1! loads better value for money if you buy them in bulk than those teeny bags) and they started of going mad for them, but now they're not quite so keen but still enjoy them :)
hamster is not so keen though...

Please be aware that pulses are not good for a piggy diet (too much protein amongst other issues), so dried beans or peas should never be more than a treat. Guinea pigs and hamsters live off differents foods.

Thank you every one. I know that guinea pigs and other small animals have different dietary needs which is why I wanted to check first.

I put a few in their bowl but they weren't overly fussed rolleyes
