So, it turns out my guineas have been using a white wooden board under my dining room dresser as a toilet during floor time (at least it's not on the carpet!).

There was a dark brown mark which when I touched felt a bit tacky and gritty. I'm assuming that this is old pee however would it be normal for it to change colour and crystalise slightly or is there actually something wrong? Pigs are otherwise healthy. Bright eyed and if they had tails they'd be bushy.

There was a fresh pee there that was clear light yellow with no grit.

From what you are saying, everything sounds normal. Guinea Pig urine does go dark after a time - this is due to oxidisation.
