Drinking A Lot...........

I have always had boars who seem to drink what I would think is an average amount but I have taken on some girls this year and they seems as a group to get through more water and wee loads more. Is this a sow thing? One definitely drinks more than the other 2 but her weight is stable, appetite is fine, teeth are good and overall vet is happy. Not worried just interested......

How much are they getting through each day in total?

It is not a gender related thing, but an individual issue. Can you start with watching which piggies are drinking most and then isolate them for 24 hours to see what their daily intake is? You need to see a vet if a piggy is drinking 300ml or more in one day.

Its less than 300 mls for sure and the vet is happy there is nothing concerning going on.

I only ask as the girls I've had all drink more than the boys x

I have mostly girls, and the intake between the groups differs quite a lot from very little to a lot.
