I have noticed Harold hardly drinks any water, I am not overly concerned as he gets plenty of fruit and veg so gets his moisture from this, he urinates normally so must be fine :)

Anyone else have piggies like this

Mine don't really drink much, I actually noticed every time my new little girl drank when I first got her because I wasn't used to hearing the other girls drinking .... but since she has been getting fresh fruit and veg she doesn't drink the same as the other two. :)

My Little Pig doesn't drink much either. When you wash the veg, give it to your piggy still wet for extra water. Also worth checking out this water bottle ([ame]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Superpet-Chew-Proof-Bottle-Large/dp/B004LOGHZ8/ref=sr_1_18?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1317242412&sr=1-18[/ame])
It is made of glass and has a much longer spout than normal bottles - so they get more water per nibble.
If you are ever concerned that they are not drinking enough, you could always try syringing water. Little Pig won't fall for just plain water being syringed, so I mix it with a Vit C tablet, a pinch of probiotic and a pinch of Recovery - he has a few syringes of this every evening.

When I had Amelia Jane and Peronel they never drunk water. It was only when I got three more guinea pigs who liked to drink that they all learned from each other. Now they all drink!

I have 2 boys, Rex and Ron. Ron drinks loads and Rex drinks hardly any. But Rex eats more so that probably evens it up !

Thanks, I already use glass water bottles, working in the shop I get all sorts of cool products, mine are the same but by hagen they have a floaty carrot inside instead of the ducky LOL
