Hi, do anyone's house piggies seem to drink more in the evenings than during the day? I've noticed mine are drinking huge amounts lately (did think it was one pig and he's been to the vets and checked over and given precautionary antibiotics for a UTI) but I've since noticed that during the day there doesn't seem to be any water gone from the bottle but during the evening they are hammering it (and I can't hear the TV :td:) and drinking half the bottle! Wondering if it's the central heating being on from 3 that's doing it?
Be good to hear if this is a common thing as I'm certain both piggies are healthy and well, they're eating/pooing etc normally.

I have a 6 and half year old who attacks his water bottle. I observed him drinking but more seen to go through the side of his mouth onto the floor. I have to clean his cage out every 2 to 3 days as the area underneath the bottle gets sodden.

Yep. Albie in particular will attack the water bottle whenever the timing is most inconvenient! Usually when my assignment deadline is fast approaching or I'm trying to sleep on the couch to avoid my partner's snoring! They just know somehow....

Mine hardly touch the water during the day but like yours drink half a bottle in the evening. They are much more active during the evening as well and eat a lot more hay so assume the water helps to wash the hay down!

I have a rescue piggy who appears to be drinking a lot but most is spilt & his bedding around the bottle gets soaking wet or is it just a leaking bottle. I'd check these first before taking him to see the vet x
