Hey Everyone!

I just wanted some help please with one of my little boys. A couple of months ago i noticed some blood in his urine, he was also drinking lots more than normal. I took him to the vet who diagnosed a urine infection and prescribed a course of antibiotics. Following this the blood cleared up but he is still drinking a lot more than usual. Initially i thought it was just a side effect from the infection but its been about 2 months now and I'm a little worried. Some days he is managing to get through almost an entire water bottle (500ml) with a little help from my other boy.

I'm planning on taking him to the vets but just wondered in the mean time if anyone had any suggestions?

If he is an indoor piggie or has been brought in for the colder months he might be drinking more due to the change of temperature/climate. Also some piggies drink a lot more than others but if you feel it would be best to have him checked over by the vet it might be the best thing for peace of mind.

Thanks he is an indoor piggie but always has been but hopefully its just the change in climate! Also noticed you're in Newport I'm in Chepstow so just down the road! :)

It's amazing how many peole you speak to on forums and they live around the corner from you. I've got multiple scelrosis and was speaking to a lady this morning and just found out that she lives near Abergavenny and we have the same ms nurses :)

Wow small world! Mind you the only other forum I'm a member of has mostly american members so its nice to join one where the people live near by! I'm sorry to hear you have MS my dad has recently been diagnosed with MND, both horrible illnesses. I hope you're doing ok with it. xx

I'm sorry your dad is ill too. It might sound strange but you sort of get used to it after a while. Thanks for asking :)

Thats what my Dad says! He always says he forgets he is ill! :) Thanks again x
