Hi everyone,

My piggy Eddie doesn’t seem to really have the hang of drinking out of a water bottle and I’m getting a little bit worried. He had one of the Classic bottles that you see everywhere and I recently changed it to the ferplast 600 one that his brother has because he drinks a lot in comparison. Eddie just seems to bite the spout rather than lick it and you can see him getting a bit frustrated. He doesn’t seem poorly or anything but his wee smells a lot stronger than Eugene’s (they live seperately) so we are a bit worried. I just gave him a little bit of water from a syringe which he seemed to like and I’ve put a little bowl in his cage as well in case that works better but he hasn’t really gone near it and I wouldn’t want him to spill it and get wet and cold. I’ve read the guides on here about water bottles and was considering the sippy bottle but have read mixed reviews so I’m just wondering if anyone has any advice? 💕

Did Eddie used to drink ok out of the classic bottle? If so, then I would just give him the classic bottle back.

To add though, I have four piggies - two lick the spout properly and the other two bite the spout and catch the water as it drops out - it’s just what they do!
