My boys have never drunk much water, but lately they have pretty much stopped.

Last weekend I filled up their water bottle. Today when I cleaned them out, it was still full ?

Is this healthy? I'm a bit worried.

Some never drink, they get all the water from veggies. If they aren't big drinkers I wouldn't worry just add more water to washed veggies. :)

Mine have been the opposite lately - they've been drinking loads more than normal (I was beginning to think something was wrong as before they hardly touched it). And they've just been getting the same food/hay/veg that they would normally get. ?

i'd make sure the bottle is working ok and there is not a blockage. If its ok then I'm sure its not a worry they will drink it if they want it.

lolol same for mine.. i didn't reallie give my piggies lots of vege yet as the vet suggested me to give them pellets/hays since they are so young and introduce vege slowly.

Sugar is drinking ALOT recently but coffee isn't drinking much.. although shes still drinking. hmmm.

My boys dont drink much, but my girls have been drinking lots in the last few days. If there is any other sign of illness i'd take him to a vet, but try not to worry. xx

I'm currently fostering piggies (only normally take bunnies) so this is very new to me. Does anyone know how much a piggie should drink? The two I'm loking after are drinking a 400ml bottle of water in 2 days - is this a lot? They seem happy and healthy, they eat/poo fine, and have been to the vet for a check up so I don't think anything is wrong but just thought I'd check.

thanks
Bev

On average mine drink 75ml per day they are all different. :)

I really think some just like the taste of water. Some like to play with the bottle. Then you get others that hardly drink anything. As long as they have plenty of vegetables, are drinking some and are pooping/peeing regularly then there's nothing to worry about.

How can I tell if one is drinking and one not? Or if one is doing all the pooping and the other isn't?

The hutch gets messy so I assume they are both doing what they need to, but I guess I couldn't be sure.

They do both eat, squeak and run around, so I guess they are healthy.
