Hi all, Waffle & Maple are settling in, in their first week. Happy to hand feed and have ear scratches - until they remember they're scared of Maldives humans and hide

Worried re their water consumption. The bowl or bottle seem to hardly go down at all. They eat nuggets and plenty of veg, leaves etc. But not Sue re water as a lot of what I read suggests anything upto 200ml a day. Guidance welcome.

Rest assured they are drinking enough for their needs, they will not dehydrate themselves. The amount a piggy will drink varies widely - some will barely take sips, some will empty bottles. The need to drink comes before the need to eat so if a piggy is eating and their weight is stable (gaining in the case of youngsters) then they are definitely drinking.

They also get water through their veg which can reduce the amount they feel they need to drink from a bottle.
