Please can some one help. I am having problems grtting both Lenko and Crumpy to eat Hay, they eat other food no problem and they are at a healthy weight, what they seem to be doing is leaving lots and lots of droppings everywhere, is this normal or is it because they are not eating hay. I have alos noticed that Crumpy's are getting a little softer and smaller. Do you think this should be a vet visit of am I a nervous mommy.

The thing with piggies they are very sneaky. It may seem like they arent drinking or eating certain things but actually when we are asleep they are eating/drinking til their hearts are content. We may not realise it but they actually are - so its hard to judge to say they not eating hay at all.

piggies poo alot and leave these all over the place. How long have you noticed soft poos? how soft are they?
 
they could have sore mouths if the hay has prickles in or is very sharp.it could be mouldy or damp so they dont like the smell.guineas usually eat what smells good so it could be bad hay.otherwise if they are not used to eating hay they perhaps just need to try it to know that its edible lol
 
Different types may also spark their interest in hay. Orchard Grass, and Timothy, are favourites here. Dried grasses also provide variety and stimulate the pigs interest - Readigrass, Graze On or Just Grass tend to go down pretty well, but need to be introduced slowly as they are as rich as fresh grass.

Lots of droppings are a good thing!
 
Have been and brought some hay that has dandilion in and have mixed it in with the food and have left them to it and have just checked and the bowl is empty so I have filled up the hay feeder and will check in the morning to see how much if any has gone.
