The winter air here has been very dry. I run humidifiers in the piggies rooms to help combat it. They all seem to have dandruff/ dry skin because of it. It doesn’t bother them (not itching) but I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions for helping keep their skin moisturized in the winter.

What breed are they?

Hmmmm would have a look st gorgeous Guineas range see if there is anything’s on there

We have a guineapig safe pet conditioner made by earth bath. Thoughts on giving them a bath using just conditioner? I almost never bathe them as they don’t need it. I’m thinking bathing them may make their skin dryer and stress them out.

If they don't need a bath, why bathe them? And if they do need a bath, conditioner won't help because it's not designed to clean.

That’s what I’m saying. They don’t need a bath it would mostly be to moisturize. I’m thinking that wouldn’t help much either.

I would probably avoid this.... How much dandruff are they giving off? No sign of cuts skin redness etc.....

No, no redness or irritation. It’s just normal little dusty pieces. I’ve just noticed it more now that the air is so dry. The vet says it’s normal this time of year. I’ll just leave it as is and keep an eye on it. I was just wondering if anyone had the same problem/tips.
