Hi all,

just a general question really but due to the massive increases in the normal dry piggie food my lot have which only lasts a few weeks, am looking for an alternative.

Wondering what all you feed yours ?

Mine are currently on Pets at Home Nuggets.

Thanks x

Excel I buy the £4.00 bags for my 14 they get through 2 a week. :)

Yes, buying in bulk helps a lot. The £4 bags are about 2kg, the £18 bags are 10kg - it is a fraction more cost effective and more environmentally-friendly (less packaging overall) than buying numerous small bags to equal the large. :)

i thought that! great minds think alike CCC4! Every little bit helps the OZone and your pocket. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

why dont you buy the bigger bags lou? they *should* cost less overall

The local shop I use only stocks the small bags, sometimes they have the £7.99 bag but by the time I've gone to pets at home I'd be forking out more in petrol. :)

have a look at online pet shops, i use pet planet, usually if you spend over a certain amount you get free postage and packaging. I get food, hay and other bits they may need like spot on etc each time so i never pay for postage or packaging and with pet planet you get a free gift! you could go through nectar estores and get nectar points too! xxxxxxxxxx

I buy 10kg bag of supa guinea excel for £14.85. The cheapest I have seen it anywhere. I buy it from Surrey Pet Supplies online shop and collect it from the shop. That way you don't pay delivery. I have just looked on thier website and seen a 15kg bag for £16.65 so even cheaper!

I buy my supa excel from Surrey pet supplies as well and buy online to collect instore, I get my aubiose there too. I live fairly near to it.

Hey, was it you that nicked my last delivery of excel? :)) (When I went to collect it, they had sold it to someoe else :{)

The last one I collected had my name written on it so I don't think I nicked yours! I would be really cross if they sold mine cos I don't live that near and only go up that way occassionally. I also buy my hay from there as it's much nicer hay than I have found anywhere else. It's a good price too. Also their readigrass is cheaper. Cat food is cheaper too. When I do go up there I come home with the car absolutely full. They have stopped doing a lot of the things they did when they first opened though which is a shame.
