2 of my 4 piggies recently had lice. I treated all 4 of them with ivermectin and also used the gorgeous guineas lice and easy on them and the lice are all gone now.

However I have noticed that on the two that had the lice, they have a few dry patches of skin. When I part the hair the flakes look like dandruff and are concentrated in a couple of areas on their backs. While I was looking at it, both piggies didn't seem to like me touching the area. They didn't squeak in pain, but seemed uncomfortable and a bit aggitated with me touching the area.

Is the dandruff/dry skin a result of the lice and will it clear up , or is there something else I should be doing to get rid of it? any advice greatly appreciated

Why don't you email Chrissie from Gorgeous Guineas? I am sure that she has all the experience to make your poos girls comfy again! Perhaps the lavender and myrrh lotion?

Hi

Firstly re the lice, did you go through the sampoo evry 7 days for 3 washes, you have to do this to break the lices breeding cycle.

Back to the flakey skin, it may be a patch of fungal infectin. I fit is it back to more baths but this time with something like nizoral.

Regards
