Hello! My 11 week guinea pig has a small patch of dry skin almost scab like under his armpit and another patch of dry skin in his ear. What could this be? They were treated for mites last weekend.
Thanks.

Hi!

Please have your piggy vet checked for potential ringworm. Ringworm is a highly contagious fungal skin infection that is the single most species jumping pet problem you can come across. Unfortunately the invisible spores are very long lived, so if it is diagnosed, please follow our explicit hygiene tips to get on top of it once and for all.

We can unfortunately not diagnose from a picture, nor are we qualified to do so.
