one of my pigs had a fungal infection which is starting to clear up but today i noticed that the two of them are scratching a lot and there is what looks like dry skin everywhere in their cage, is it part of the infection or is it something else now mallethead

Gorgeous Guineas do a lovely assortment of lotions for piggy's skin:

Always worth a quick chat with Chrissy via email, she is excellent.
My boar scratched himself recently and he had a small dry patch :0
Aloe Vera soothe gel is good (patch test 24 hours behind their ear before applying to be on the safe side) and cost around £7 for a small tub - always handy to have in the piggy first aid kit.
Another thing you could try is a tiny amount of Sudocrem, totally harmless and is a great barrier cream, again something I keep in the kit for them.
If it only dry skin, Vaseline may help and is harmless to them.
Never replace the advice of a vet though if you are unsure, I only use these products as I have found them successful for my gang and what works for one may not work for another.
Maybe a quick chat with your vet ?/

i have used the kwench lotion and it worked really well so will email her about it:) think i might ring vets tomorrow to be sure though
