Dry Tummy

Can you try and post a picture.
Is Posey a skinny pig?

Dry skin can occur but isn't common in healthy piggies, so before putting something on it you might want to check it isn't the early stages of a skin condition.

She is a floofy! I will post a picture tonight after work. She has been to the vets as she had a scab that is now being treated as possibly fungal or bacterial infection.

I would get the vet to actually test for bacterial or fungal infections, by taking a skin scrape to send to a diagnostic lab, and get those things treated and ruled out first.
Jezzy floof has problem dry skin but we only concluded this after about 6 vet trips and all the skin tests for mites and fungal and bacterial infections!

Hi!

Please do not treat on spec with creams anything that is a fungal or bacterial infection. They won't cure and will often only serve to make the problem worse and prolong it. The problem is that unless you know what you are up against, you may treat wrongly.

Is your vet lab testing and what have they prescribed so far?

Can you post a picture of the problem area, please?

We had Surolan for Blodwen's ringworm patch, then after that we had spray-on Mycozole with the same antifungal ingredient to massage all through her fur until we were sure the ringworm test came back negative. Hope it does the trick!
