Dryw/Wren's updates thread

I love the way she wheeks with her entire body lol. So adorable...and Pioden sticking his head out to find out what all the fuss is about too. Ahh

With some (rare) sunshine in between beefy showers, I have taken the opportunity to create a precious memory for myself with this official group photo of now very frail 8 years old Hedydd 'Skylark' (the last of Pioden's previous wives), 2 months old Dryw 'Wren' and 5 years old Pioden 'Magpie'.

Here are Dryw and Pioden together; they have a very loving close relationship. Pioden is ever so gentle with her!

She is growing so quickly, what a gorgeous sow she is. It's so lovely Pioden looks after her so well, long may it continue.

Sorry; the loss of Hedydd and an early onset winter depression from all the rainy weather this autumn have hit me rather hard but Dryw is thriving and growing fast. She is now weighing nearly as much at coming up to 3 months as Begw at 10 months of age (both are Potteries piggies, by the way); working her way up to 800g.

"I am not posing for pictures without a suitable fee!"

"Hmmm, let's see whether that is actually adequate."

"My tummy has voted down the payment plan and is asking for an extension for negotions until I have got an acceptable deal!

And this was yesterday evening, just so you can see how big she really is!

Preparing the cage for a Hay-oween party!

She is an absolute stunner @Wiebke some piggies have that little extra something, and she has it in bucket loads.
I hope you feel better soon, so many losses in so short a time will have taken a massive toll on your spirits. Sending you lots of kind wishes and appreciation for all you do for us and our piggies.

Thank you! I am better now. :tu:

The pain of the loss and the phase when you have to retrain yourself to no longer include a beloved face into your daily routine (especially after regular medication etc.) is never getting any easier or can be hurried on because every bond is unique - and after nearly 8 years, there is so much that connects you... of course, this is amplified when you lose a whole generation in such quick succession. You can only start feeling blessed for having had them for so long after you have made it through the acute stage of the grieving process.

Dryw is another blessing... 😍

What a mugshot in the second to last photo 😍
