The black piggy on the left is Crispin, and the white one on the right is Duke. Crispin is constantly on the go, the only time he's still is when he's sleeping. He's the clever one of the pair, he manages to figure things out really quickly and gets bored easily. It's hard to find something that will keep him guessing for more than 5 minutes!

Duke is the laid back one, he's not always interested in the toys in his cage, he prefers to just snuggle in his blanket or lay in the sun. Has occasional bursts of energy - chasing after Crispin in their run.

Today, I adopted a new Guinea Pig; Marlon the Albino Piggy!
Marlon came from a friend of my neighbours who used to have two Piggies. However one died some time last year and poor Marlon has been on his own. So, he's coming to live me and my herd!

I'm hoping to successfully introduce Marlon to Duke & Crispin, I know that there can be problems with introducing new boars to each other, especially in a set of three. However when I introduced Marlon to the boys for the first time today, things went quite well! Hoping things continue to go this well in future meetings!

He is, the poor thing! He's so sweet though, he's just nervous about being in a new place and all.

Put them together again today. I had to tempt Marlon out from his hidey spot with carrots. He seems really shy about being with my two boys.

lovely piggies drool

Hope the bonding goes well :) I'll just put out a word of warning although intial intros through mesh can seem promising once on the same turf so to speak things can be quite different. :)

Theres a very helpful guide to trios on here if you wanted to flick though (quite a way down on the page :)) good luck:

and keep us posted :)) xxxxx

All adorable x) thanks for sharing!

Bought a new hutch for them all today! It's called 'The Lodge' from Pets at Home. C:
I was going to get it for my 18th birthday later this month, but I asked for it early so I could (hopefully) bond these three piggies. Bought new blankets for them and got some new tubes and bowls so everything smells 'neutral' to them.
Even if this trio doesn't work out, I can still keep Marlon with me. (Unless his previous owner wants him back, he's currentley 'on loan' so to speak.)

Will post tomorrow whether things go bad or good!

all gorgeous good luck and keep us updated! -c

Crispin and Duke are coming up to being a year old now, while Marlon is about 4 years old. C:

(I couldn't find any kind of edit button for my above post. Sorry for the double post!)

Sadly, the trio doesn't look like it will work out after all. It's a shame since it seemed to be going quite well at the start, and Marlon could of really benfitted from having some company. Marlon's previous owner says that it's ok for me to keep him, so he'll being staying in Duke & Crispin's old cage.

I think D&C are really going to enjoy their new cage though, theres plenty of room for Crispin to popcorn in, and enough room for more exciting toys (I really want to get him a hammock of some kind since he seems to love high places). The only problem is finding something to put on the stairs so they have more grip, they keep sliding down it!
