Dukey now gone for 1 year

My darling little man it was 1 year ago that you had to go to the bridge. You tried so so hard, you went thru hell really for a long long time. You struggled with abscesses, pneumonia, toofie problems and old age. Because of you i have learnt so much about piggies, thankyou little man your Granny misses you so much, it still hurts really bad 8...8...8...8...
I know you're with Sully and playing with your mates in the green fields.
Your little sisters know all about you, they have your bowls and a couple of your towels, your tunnel (from Auntie Lucinda) and they are in your house (tho it's now modified).

Miss you forever, please wait for me, i'll be there one day i so want to cuddle you again xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>
 
Oh Glynis, how has this come round so soon? Duke hasn't left your side for the past year, he will always be with you even though you can no longer see him. Thinking of you and Dukey today, loads of big hugs for you. xxxxx
 
I can't believe a year has gone by already, but then Duke left not long after Schmichael, so of course it is. I bet those two are causing havoc at Rainbow Bridge! I hope it's ok for bunnies and piggies to play together there, but then Schmichael wasn't really a rabbit so it should be fine.

I bet Duke and Sully are so thrilled to see they have little sisters now and they will be watching over them and you.

Chubster the legend lives on in quite a few hearts, he will never be forgotten & i bet he's causing a riot at the bridge with Sully & his mates :(|) :(|)

Miss Onyx & Miss Velvet are so very lucky to have such wonderful guardian angels looking over them.

What a beautiful tribute to a very special piggie. Duke will always be with you in your heart and will be watching over you from Rainbow Bridge always.
Sweet Duke. You are missed dearly by your family. Send piggie kisses down from Rainbow Bridge to all who were blessed to have had you in their lives.
 
I can't believe it has been a year since you lost your precious little fighter Dukey :) He was and still is my warmest memory on here, an absolute inspiration like yourself, he is one of so many piggies whom fill our hearts with love, he will never be forgotten xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thinking of you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
 
Oh Glynis. I can not believe it was a year ago that darling Duke left you. He was a very special piggy and shall always be remembered by you and us on the forum. I think that Duke holds a place in many peoples hearts. I know he does mine.
Sleep peacefully Duke and continue watching over your granny as she loves and still misses you very much x

I've really been dreading this anniversary 8...
and yeah i know why it still hurts so very very much, but my little man is in the best place now, playing with his very special mates from here x)

Sorry, that thread has escaped me so far!

We can't stop missing the special ones we had such a bond with, can we? They are in our thoughts constantly, even after such a long time!

I am so sad that I never got the opportunity to meet Duke properly, although I feel that he is familiar to me now, because he is such a presence in your life!

Glynis, sorry I'm late for Duke's anniversary. He was such a gorgeous piggy as well as a brave one. He loved being with you, and stayed as long as he could. x

I've only just seen this my love. Wow - the year has passed so quickly. I still remember where I was when I heard the terrible news about your darling Duke.

May I just say what a beautiful tribute to Dukey. He is missed by everyone but I just know that he is free from pain and having a laugh at RB with all his mates from the forum and dear Sully of course.

Glynis,

My Rene left for the bridge just over a year ago (53 weeks today) and I still miss him terribly. He was my first 'adult' piggy and he knew how to play me! He too succombed to illness in the end but he gave a good fight for 2 months...

I still miss him very much and I empathise with the way you're feeling.
