Just to prove to you how thick I am, mallethead I still haven't got a clue how to:

1. Add a bit of a quote from someone elses post to my reply.

2. Add a website link to a post

3. Add another post link to my post

Help would be appreciated. ")

Thanks x

I'll try and not confuse you but here it goes -

1, who ever you want to use as a quote in thier box where they have replied there is a 'quote' option click this and just delete out of it what you dont want/need

2, oh and 3, on your address bar at the top i.e www.theguineapigforum highlight and copy it (right click on your mouse) then when writing your post right click again and choose the paste option,

does this make any sense at all?
:)

Dunno let's see?

Your right - there is no such thing as a stupid question!

One thing I wanted to know is how do you do a double quote in a post - like taking a quote from one person and then another quote from another person in the same thread. I've seen other members do it and I've no idea how they did it.

beside the 'quote' button there is a button beside it with a + on it, click all you want to quote and it'll go ornage/red then press quote on the last one :)

Well, this has answered something for me, thanks!

Do you have to be in the message you want to quote when you hit that button?

When you click on the + it'll turn to a - and behind it will go orange, do it for every post you want to quote then on the last one aswell as pressing the + press the 'quote' button

I've done it again, and still don't quite know how!

You know, it's not a dumb question, just my interpretation of the answer is dumb, I think!

When I add a quote it goes to the bigger reply screen with all the smilies, then I can't get back to the original screen to add more?

Ok I give up. Thank you all for trying! Told you I was thick. Oh.. and from now on, would nobody on the forum say anything at all worthwhile or useful then I don't ever need to quote them! Ha Ha x

Yippee! Thank you very much. That's been bothering me for ages how you do that. :)

You have to add all the ones you want before pressing quote
