Dumbles cloudy eye

Hi

I noticed Dumbles right eye is suddenly become very cloudy today. It is only one eye and Pedro is fine. I think he might have something stuck in their like hay. I have looked up online and it is saying he need antibiotic eye drops from vet but it being a saturday I can't take him to vets till Monday at earliest. Is there any way I can buy eye drops or use something else? Can I use human eye drops? Please help....

Hi & welcome to the forum. Eye pokes from hay etc need vet attention really. How confident are you with looking in his eye to see if there is a piece of hay in there?
 
Hi! Please have your boy seen by a vet asap. Hay pokes shoudn't be taken lightly. The cloudiness means that there is an infection/ulcer going on. With the right treatment, the infection will come down quickly again.
 
Assuming you are in the UK, it will be possible to get your piggie seen by a vet over the weekend, since they have to provide 24 hour emergency cover, although the charge is higher for an out of hours consultation. Ring your vet and listen to the answerphone message to see what their arrangements are.
