Dumped Animals

There have been a few recent posts where members have discovered dumped animals.

Fortunately, these members have been able to take them on and giving them loving homes.


I also recall someone posting on here when she had her rabbit stolen from a garden hutch . Fortunately hers was handed in to the police a few days later - so she got it back . ( The lad who took it to the police said his brother had nicked it to show how easy it was to steal animals) .


My question is .... is it worth notifying the police if anyone here finds a dumped animal?
 
I also agree plus if it has been stolen it gives the original owners a chance to get it back. If I found an animal I wouldn't like to just take it without trying to find out if it belonged to someone .
 
I think it's a good idea, it would just worry me it would go to the wrong home
