Dumped pair of piggies.

Ive taken on a couple of dumped piggies today. They were both left in a woods nearby, dumped. They were found by a dog, who thankfully didnt hurt them.

They are both very young, i would estimate about 6-8mnth old. The black and white boar is suffering quite a bit from mites. Hes a rex type cross with his wirey fur. Hes already proved himself to be quite a bit of a chatter box, and hes already trashed his new home for now. A sow was dumped with him, shes a beautiful himilayan, and heavily pregnant. If she gets on with the gang i will definatly be keeping her. Shes already given me lots of kisses. I wouldnt be surprised if this is a back to back pregnancy bless her.

Good thing is they are both eating well, the little sow is very very thirsty. A bit skitty, but they seem generally tame. Anyone interested, the boar may well need a home, when hes a bit more well. I'm going to wait and see how many/what sex the babies are the rehome some possibly, but i cant tell till shes popped.

I get so angry how cruel people can sometimes be.

Some people are so cruel, they are beautiful, hopefully you can turn them around. ;)
 
I really do hate some people. They are both beautiful, hope the pregnancy goes smootly for the poor girl.
 
:( yet again we here of such a sad story. I just do not understand some people.

Anyhow, thank goodness they were found and are now in your capable hands, i hope they weren't out there for long. They are both beautiful :)
 
Beautiful piggies! I don't know how some people can behave like this, makes me so angry. At least they are safe and well with you. Hope the girlies pregnancy goes ok, she's a stunner xx

And what a sad story! Why can't people hand their pets into rescue instead of just dumping them somewhere? :)>>>
 
Beautiful piggies! Such a shame they have had a tough start in life. How on earth can people be so cruel? So glad they are with you now. Hope the pregnancy goes well. Sending these piggies lots of love x
 
My sister will be looking for some baby piggies in September, so let me know how this goes with this little darling. Might be able to give 2 a home. x
 
Aww! They are stunning! I don't see how people can just dump animals and leave them there to die:( It makes me so sad...8...8...8...8...
 
the good thing is that you found them (or they found you!). they're lucky to be in such good hands and things will only get better, as much as i hate to quote take that! x
 
They are both beautiful, well done for taking them in! I hope the pregnancy goes smoothly for the himi...i dream of having a himi one day drool
 
What beauties :) It so so sad to hear more and more cases of dumped piggies :( :(

How anyone could dump them amazes me.

They are both gorgeous. Especially the Hima. If I didn't already have four beautiful boys and had enough room I'd adopt her within a second. x)

I agree with you Wiebke. I personally think that in many instances like this, it is ignorance on the part of the owner, ignorance to the cruelty and danger that they are putting the animals in. I have known cruel people and they are the sort to knowingly put an animal thru pain in the form of drowning or strangulation etc. I think that people who dump Piggies in the woods are under the ignorant delusion that the Piggies can fend for themselves. Those people that dump Piggies outside P@H etc are at least showing a little inteligence. There are however some people that have the inteligence and humility to accept that hey can't cope with thier Piggies and make the right decision to contact a rescue. If only everyone could have the inteligence to know whether to get a pet or not, there would be a lot less pain in the world and the Angels would have an easier job.

:Ayociexp121: Arghhhhhh. How can people sleep at night when they've done something like that.

Fingers crossed for a smooth birth and a happy ending for all of the piggies. Hopefully she'll have just one of each so mum and dad each get a companion.

Omg poor things, they are beautiul, how can people dump them - they are such easy pets to take care of? gah!

Hope the sow is okay bless her and she is very pregnant isnt she? dont look like much longer to go bless her. Hope the poor boy gets rid of the mites soon and starts feeling better.
 
Why do people do things like this?! How ca nthe sleep at night, totally disgusting. So glad they have found their way to you. They are so beautiful, hope they recover fully from their ordeal..

Heavens above, I'd give my soul to have a rescue one but am totally maxed for room and time now :( I gave up looking for one :{
Keep us posted with their progress and well done for taking them in x>>
 
Oh heavens, how adorable is that little boar?! x)x)x)
The girl is gorgeous too, but I've always wanted a black and white piggy. Shame you weren't closer.
